Discover masterpieces by Vermeer, Rembrandt and more and enjoy a private viewing at the world-famous Mauritshuis with a top art critic

The Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer only produced around 35 known works throughout his career, but his paintings are among the most recognisable in the world. His masterpieces include Girl with a Pearl Earring and View of Delft. See both of these spectacular paintings and more on an exclusive six-day tour with the company of Telegraph art critic and Vermeer expert Andrew Graham-Dixon.

On a special visit to the Mauritshuis, Andrew will share his vast knowledge of the Dutch Golden Age during an exclusive tour of the Vermeer Room. This will be part of a private, out-of-hours viewing, where you'll have the chance to explore the rest of the museum with a local expert guide without the usual crowds.

Another visit on the itinerary is to Amsterdam's Rijksmuseum, with its wonderful, 8,000-strong collection, which includes some of Rembrandt's most famous works and Vermeer's Woman Reading a Letter and The Milkmaid.

You can also look forward to wandering along the elegant boulevards and through the leafy parks and squares of The Hague, discovering Gouda's picturesque market square and sampling its famous cheese, exploring Leiden, the birthplace of Rembrandt, and taking an informative walking tour of Delft, where you'll be based for five nights.

You'll be staying in a conveniently-located hotel throughout the trip, right in the historical heart of Delft and close to the excellent Prinsenhof Museum, where you'll have a chance to learn more about the city's history and see more incredible works by the Dutch Masters.
