Visit Buckingham Palace, Hampton Court Palace and Windsor Castle, and hear from author and historian Dr Nicola Tallis

London's magnificent royal palaces are at the centre of one of England's greatest historical tales - the story of the British monarchy. From Henry VIII's tumultuous reign to the highs and lows of the Windsor family, the castles and palaces along the Thames have seen great romances, grand banquets, political intrigue and deadly betrayals play out within their walls.

You'll have the chance to meet expert historian Dr Nicola Tallis who'll give an exclusive talk about the young Elizabeth I, the subject of her latest book.

Throughout the tour, you'll visit the finest properties with royal links in and around London, while based at the exceptional four-star Rembrandt Hotel in the illustrious borough of Knightsbridge, where you'll enjoy breakfast each morning.

You'll start with a visit to opulent Windsor Castle, where you'll get a private behind-the-ropes tour of the castle and enjoy a glass of sparkling English wine. Next you'll have the opportunity to explore the luxurious interiors of the state rooms at Buckingham Palace on a self-guided visit, and learn about the historical importance of Westminster Abbey, the traditional place of coronation and burial site for English monarchs, on a guided tour; this is the spot where King Charles III was crowned and where the Prince and Princess of Wales were married.

Also on the agenda are tours of the Tower of London, where you'll see the Crown Jewels and discover the history of the tower, and Hampton Court Palace, where you'll have the opportunity to wander around the vast manicured gardens.
