Lady Glenconner became Princess Margaret's lady-in-waiting in 1971 until the Princess's death in 2002. Her memoir, Lady in Waiting: My Extraordinary Life in the Shadow of the Crown, was published to great acclaim last year.
The ultimate tour of Norfolk and meet Lady Glenconner
The British have long been fascinated by the inner workings of the Royal Family and viewers' love of the BAFTA-winning Netflix drama The Crown is testament to that deep affection and curiosity. The relationship between the Queen and Princess Margaret is one of the most poignant aspects of the TV series - and on this exclusive five-day tour, you will meet and hear from someone who played a pivotal role in this royal story, Lady Glenconner.
The daughter of the 5th Earl of Leicester, Lady Glenconner grew up with the young princesses and served as maid of honour at Elizabeth's Coronation before going on to become Princess Margaret's lady-in-waiting.
Lady Glenconner has lived a rich life full of drama and difficulty. You will meet her at her family's historic estate, Holkham Hall in Norfolk, where she will give a private Q&A about her extraordinary life lived at the heart of the Royal Family.
'I am delighted to be welcoming you to my home county and the magical house where I grew up. I'm looking forward to telling Telegraph readers some of the stories of my life 'in the shadow of the crown'

This morning you will enjoy a tour of Lady Glenconner's family estate, Holkham Hall. Built between 1734 and 1764 by Thomas Coke, the 1st Earl of Leicester, its hall reflects Coke's appreciation of classical art developed during his Grand Tour of Europe. The Coke family have lived at Holkham since 1609. Thomas Coke died in 1759 and never saw his great dream fulfilled and the house today with its great halls, libraries, statues, paintings and furniture is little altered from the Earl's original plans. You will then be joined for a special lunch with Lady Glenconner, at which she will give a private talk, Q&A and book signing. Every generation of the Royal Family which has lived in the house has added something of their own times and tastes. Later you will explore the principal rooms at the Blickling Estate, including the long gallery, described as the grandest of its period in England and the library, which contains one of the most historically significant collections of manuscripts and books in England.
