Explore Westminster Abbey, Kensington Palace, Hampton Court Palace and Windsor Castle with a talk from expert Tudor historian Tracy Borman

London's magnificent royal palaces are at the centre of one of England's greatest historical tales - the story of the British monarchy. From Henry VIII's tumultuous reign to the highs and lows of the Windsor family, the castles and palaces along the Thames have seen great romances, grand banquets, political intrigue and deadly betrayals play out within their walls.

You'll have the chance to meet Tudor historian Dr Tracy Borman, who'll give an exclusive talk at Hampton Court Palace.

Throughout the tour, you'll visit the finest properties with royal links in and around London, while based at the exceptional five-star Royal Horseguards Hotel on the banks of the Thames, where you'll enjoy breakfast each morning.

You'll start with a guided tour of the beautiful Westminster Abbey, the traditional place of coronation and burial site for English monarchs, where King Charles III was crowned and where the Prince and Princess of Wales were married.

Also on the agenda are tours of the Tower of London, where you'll see the Crown Jewels and discover the history of the tower, Kensington Palace, where you'll guided through the Queen's State Apartments and the lavish King's Apartments, and Hampton Court Palace, where you'll enjoy wandering around the vast manicured gardens at the height of their spring colour.

The last visit of your trip will be to see the opulent Windsor Castle, where you'll get a private behind-the-ropes tour of the castle and enjoy a glass of sparkling English wine.
