A carefully designed itinerary coincides with the incredible Les Voiles de Saint Tropez regatta, where you'll watch hundreds of magnificent sailing ships racing from a prime position on the deck of Royal Clipper.

You'll also be joined onboard by TV Chef James Martin, best known for presenting Saturday Kitchen. You'll observe his skills up close during a cooking demonstration and ask questions about his fascinating career during a private Q&A. Under the sunny skies of St Tropez and beneath the billowing sails of Royal Clipper, James will host a cocktail party, sign complimentary copies of his book, and join guests to watch the regatta.

The ship will take you to gorgeous locations in France and Italy, first departing from the glittering shores of Cannes and travelling to Lerici in Italy, where you can stroll through nearby fishing villages reminiscent of the famous Cinque Terre. You'll also stop at Portoferraio on the island of Elba, where you can take a vineyard tour and sample the local Ansonica wine. Time in Corsica calls for R&R on the sandy beaches where the gently lapping water is clear, calm, and delightfully warm. And the port of Alghero on Sardinia brings the opportunity to explore its medieval history and taste the local cuisine.

You'll wake on the Italian Riviera this morning, and after a leisurely breakfast on board, there's time to explore Lerici. For the best views over the so-called Gulf of Poets (Lord Byron was a previous resident), visit Villa Rezzola, an ancient manor house with an impressive garden that slopes down to the sea.

Portoferraio

You'll arrive on the island of Elba today, ready to explore Portoferraio, where Napoleon once looked out over the waiting ships in the harbour from his villa. An overnight sailing south brings you to the island of Corsica, where you'll spend the morning on one of the island's most tranquil beaches, where the water is crystal clear, calm and warm.

In the afternoon, you'll sail to Bonafacio, a bustling port with excellent seafood restaurants and a modern marina. The ancient citadel town is perched high atop a cliff, with wide-open panoramas to admire.

St Tropez is the epicentre of European glamour, and a day here allows you time to rub shoulders with the glitterati and visit its famous beaches, bistros, and bars. You'll stop at the beach first, spending the morning soaking up the atmosphere before sailing to the port where the ship docks in the afternoon.

James Martin joins the ship this afternoon, ready for a cooking demonstration on the Royal Clipper. Tonight, the ship moors overnight in St Tropez, and you'll feel the sense of anticipation building - tomorrow is the famous St Tropez regatta.

You'll observe the Les Voiles de Saint Tropez regatta from your prime position on the deck of Royal Clipper. The regatta is a fantastic rendezvous of yachts from the ultra-modern to the most beautiful traditional vessels. Racers and sailing enthusiasts come from all over the globe to battle in the bay, promising an exciting display to watch from the deck of Royal Clipper.

James will give a talk, participate in a Q&A as well as sign your complimentary books before departing this evening.

You'll depart St Tropez late, setting sail for Cannes - your final destination.
